- Работа посвящена анализу комплекса антропологических идей в русском литературном символизме (Андрей Белый, Александр Блок, Вячеслав Иванов) в контексте общих устремлений модернизма к трансформации человека. Исследование основано на изучении теоретического и критического наследия и автобиографических текстов модернистов преимущественно из России, Италии и Великобритании, их дискуссий в журналах Весы, Мир искусства, Новый путь, Северный вестник, Leonardo, La Voce, The New Age, The Freewoman и др. Раскрывается совокупность философских и естественнонаучных мировоззренческих доминант, определивших подходы к человеку в модернизме. Уточняются позиции русского символизма в конфликте антропоцентристских и теоцентристских ориентаций культуры начала ХХ века, а также роль модернизма в утверждении новых принципов в культуре к определению мужского и женского, коллективных и индивидуальных стратегий совершенствования во временных границах жизни, к поиску универсального критерия прогресса человека. Выявлены идеальные антропологические модели в русском символизме и теоретические препятствия их практического воплощения.
- This work is devoted to the analysis of a complex of anthropological ideas in Russian literary symbolists (Andrei Bely, Alexander Blok, Vyacheslav Ivanov) in the context of the general aspirations of Modernism for human transformation. The research is based on the study of the theoretical and critical heritage and autobiographical texts of modernists mainly from Russia, Italy and the UK, their discussions in the magazines Vesy, Mir Iskusstva, Novyj Put', Severnyj Vestnik, Leonardo, La Voce, The New Age, The Freewoman, etc. The set of philosophical and natural scientific worldviews reveals the approaches to the human being in Modernism. The positions of Russian Symbolism in the conflict of anthropocentric and theocentric moods of culture of the early 20th century are clarified, as well as the role of Modernism in the adoption of new principles in culture to the definition of male and female, collective and individual strategies for improvement in the temporal limits of life, and the search for a universal criterion for human progress. Ideal anthropological models of Russian Symbolism and theoretical obstacles to their practical implementation have been disclosed.
- La tesi è dedicata all’esame, nel loro insieme, delle idee antropologiche proprie del Simbolismo letterario russo (Andrej Belyj, Aleksandr Blok, Vjačeslav Ivanov ecc.), in relazione agli sforzi che il modernismo compie nel voler trasformare l’uomo. Il lavoro si basa sull’analisi di fonti teoriche e critiche, su testi autobiografici di modernisti, principalmente russi, italiani e inglesi, nonché sui loro dibattiti che all’epoca animarono più di una rivista: «Vesy», «Mir iskusstva», «Novyje put’», «Severnyj vestnik», «Leonardo», «La Voce», «The New Age», «The Freewoman», ecc. Viene mostrato il complesso delle idee filosofiche e naturali legate alla visione del mondo e che determinano i vari approcci verso l’uomo all’epoca del modernismo. Vengono inoltre messe a fuoco le posizioni del Simbolismo russo all’interno del conflitto degli orientamenti antropocentrici e teocentrici tipici della cultura dell’inizio del XX secolo, come anche il ruolo del modernismo nell’affermazione di nuovi principi culturali rivolti alla definizione di maschile e femminile, di strategie di massa e individuali nel processo di perfezionamento della vita entro limiti temporali, ma anche rivolti alla ricerca di un criterio universale del progresso umano. Sono stati infine messi in luce gli ideali antropologici del simbolismo russo e gli inconvenienti teorici della loro realizzazione pratica.
