- Nel dopoguerra, migliaia di donne italiane e francesi furono processate dalle Cour de Justice e dalle Corti d’Assise Straordinarie con l’accusa di collaborazionismo con il tedesco invasore. L’esame comparativo delle carte giudiziarie conservate nei fondi dei tribunali straordinari permette di rispondere ad alcune domande che aiutano a fare luce su un fenomeno lasciato per lungo tempo ai margini della storiografia, ridotto agli scarni stereotipi della spia e dell’“amante del nemico”. Perché queste donne scelsero di schierarsi con i nazifascisti? Quali furono i percorsi che le portarono verso quella scelta? In che modo collaborarono? Quali furono le motivazioni dei loro comportamenti? Che rapporto instaurarono con la violenza? Come furono giudicate nel dopoguerra? L’obiettivo è dunque, da una parte, quello di avvicinarsi alle storie di queste donne, individuando analogie e differenze tra gli universi collaborazionisti italiani e francesi e riconducendo le loro scelte, motivazioni e comportamenti ai diversi contesti di guerra nei quali presero forma. Dall’altra parte, l’esame delle fonti si propone di mettere in luce le rappresentazioni più diffuse che nel dopoguerra circolavano a proposito delle collaborazioniste, rilevando una generale tendenza dei giudici di entrambi i paesi a punire le donne attraverso un discorso giudiziario misogino che mirava, più che a condannare i crimini da queste commessi, a ristabilire i rapporti di genere tradizionali, perturbati dagli sconvolgimenti della guerra totale.
- In the post-war period, thousands of Italian and French women were put on trial by the Cour de Justice and the Corti d’Assise Straordinarie for collaboration with the invading German. The comparative examination of the judicial papers kept in the funds of the extraordinary courts allows us to answer some questions that help shed light on a phenomenon left for a long time on the margins of historiography, reduced to the stereotypes of the spy and of the "lover of the enemy": why did these women choose to side with the Nazi-Fascists? What were the paths that led them to that choice? How did they collaborate? What were the reasons for their behavior? What relationship did they establish with violence? How were they judged after the war? The goal is therefore, on the one hand, to get closer to the stories of these women, identifying similarities and differences between the Italian and French collaborationist universes and analyzing their choices, motivations and behaviors in relation to the different war contexts in which they took shape. On the other hand, the examination of the sources aims to highlight the most widespread representations that circulated in the post-war period about collaborators, noting a general tendency of judges in both countries to punish women through a misogynistic judicial discourse that aimed, rather than condemning their crimes, to re-establish traditional gender relations, perturbed by the upheavals of total war.
