- La mia ricerca si basa su un metodo trasversale che mira a studiare la tematica da diversi punti di vista e ad unire i risultati ottenuti da ogni singola analisi, in modo da raggiungere una visione quanto più ampia e dettagliata possibile della materia. Attraverso un'attenta indagine che coinvolge un'ampia e diversificata documentazione, si tenterà di mettere in luce una serie di processi politici nonché strategie comunicative precipui della propaganda dei re ellenistici di Macedonia.
- My research is based on an across-the-board method that aims to study the issue from different points of view and the join the results obtained from each individual analysis, so as to achieve a vision as much as possible wide and detailed. The work usually starts from the scrutiny of literary sources not only historical prose works, which obviously represent the main resource my work, but also poetic compositions are included in the discussion. Then I usually analyze the documentary sources, such as inscriptions and coins that I put in relation with the literary source, trying to highlight possible critical issues or, on the contrary, the similarity between the various types of source. A lot of time has been devoted to the iconography of the Antigonids, not only focusing on numismatic representations but also portraits (sculptural and parietal production).
