It focuses also on the Ancestors and the Heirs of this Thematic dimension in European Literature.The methodology is based upon the stylistic, intertextual, and thematic critique.The essay shows the potentiality of a theme very often censored by our cultural sensibility, and the usefulness of the categories of Violence, Power, and Desire in the Work of the Jewish writer Elias Canetti.
- Il saggio ripercorre la scena di stupro, concepito e tentato, nella tradizione teatrale del cinque e seicento (Shakespeare, Jonson, Molière), guardando anche agli antecedenti ed ai successori di tale dimensione tematica.Il metodo prevalente è quello dell'analisi stilistica, intertestuale e tematica.Il saggio mostra la validità di un apprccio tematico a un ambito non ancora sufficientemente analizzato, utilizzando anche le categorie di desiderio, potere e violenza elaborate nell'opera dello scrittore di origine ebraica Elias Canetti.
