De l’espace de la case à l’espace de l’intime : itinéraire d’un enfant du destape dans Historias del barrio de Beltrán y Seguí

The present contribution aims to approach the notions of spaces, places and boundaries, in various degrees: at first, from a structural point of view by evoking the narratively structuring value of the notion of space in the construction of the autobiography when the voice of the author builds itself on a topographic wandering; then, from a semiotic point of view by the examination of the contributions of the characteristic multimodality of the text/image and the characteristic of the iconotextual language of the graphic novel, capable of mixing two dimensions of the space: on the one hand, this autobiographical place, at the same time closed and open because it is island, and on the other hand, the complex place built by the arthrological route through the page, which conveys a subject playing with the notion of frame: that of the representation and that within which builds himself the individual.

La présente contribution se propose d’aborder les notions d’espaces, de lieu et de frontières à différents degrés : d’abord d’un point de vue structurel en évoquant la valeur narrativement structurante de la notion d’espace dans la construction de l’autobiographie lorsque la voix de l’auteur se construit sur une errance topographique ; ensuite, d’un point de vue sémiotique par l’examen des apports de la multimodalité propre au texte/image et au lan-gage iconotextuel du roman graphique, capable de faire se confondre alors deux dimensions de l’espace : ce lieu autobiographique, à la fois clos et ou-vert car insulaire, et le lieu complexe que construit le parcours arthrologique de la page et de la case, vecteur d’un propos jouant avec la notion de cadre : celui de la représentation et celui au sein duquel se construit l’individu.
