«La miglior lezione è sempre quella del buon giudizio»: Monti postillatore dell’ "Eneide" del Caro

Dopo un breve profilo di Monti lettore e postillatore, si fornisce in questo contributo l’edizione di una serie di postille inedite di mano montiana riportate su una copia di lavoro dell’edizione Sonzogno dell’Eneide del Caro (Triv. G 715), testimone di una versione precedente a quella definitiva. G 715), witnessing a previous version of the text. The analysis of the notes turns out to be an opportunity to reconstruct the history of the edition and of the philological methods to which it conforms.
