Description

Parole chiave: Architettura gotica, Architettura classica, ‘600, Volte a Padiglione, Scuffie (mezze crociere)Abstract: Though substantial convergences with Spanish fine arts, XVII century Sardinian architecture developed some self models and deepened, in several expressive and technical potentialities, some experiments begun in the peninsular territories of the Crown. Since the end of XVI and for all the XVII century, in the center and southern territories of Sardinia it has spread the interesting trend of presbytery pavilions held by half groin vaults. The frequent applications demonstrate the fortune of the solution: an hybrid between classic vanguards and gothic constructive traditions. Thanks to the work of expert handcrafters, the motive got ready success between religious clients, as to be presented again in many variations, till XVII century. Keywords: Gothic architecture, Classic architecture, XVII century, Pavilion Vaults, Half Groin Vaults
